Through this intercultural competence faculty-led program, students will learn first-hand and have the opportunity to create links between their academic course work and the multifaceted realities of community development in the developing continent of Africa.
Students will have the opportunity to work with different local community-based organizations, that are working towards improving the quality of life for the local people through a wide range of development initiatives. A few of these initiatives include education programs for adults, income-generating projects and social entrepreneurship. This intercultural competence faculty-led program offers tremendous capacity for not only experiential learning, but also leadership and personal growth which is vital for transforming students into global citizens.
