Immersion Africa’s Faculty-Led programs are a good “introduction” to international travel for students who have never traveled abroad.
These programs are well structured, so that they reduce the effects of culture shock and loneliness that students might experience
on their first trip abroad.
The Faculty-Led programs are structured in such a way that ensures safety and comfort while still providing a healthy environment for learning and growth. Our Faculty-Led programs combine traditional classroom learning with experiential learning while abroad and run over a period of two-eight weeks. During this period the students are encouraged to step outside of the conventional classroom and step into the communities where faculty and the students are able to apply their knowledge, whilst making progressive change. This ensures a meaningful cultural exchange and helps in transforming students into global citizens whom are equipped to meet the demands of the future.
Explore the rich cultures and unique history of Africa and its people. Looking at traditions and cultural practices and the role it plays in society today.
Explore dynamic socioeconomics and politics of the rapidly changing continent of Africa. This program focuses on the theory and practice of governments and politics.
This program traces the legacy of the apartheid system in South Africa, pointing out social and economic policies and the ramifications relating to the well-being of its population.
